Exporting into 3ds file
Hello,
I've got a huge problem. I'm trying to export my mesh object to 3ds file. How do I do that? Every time under the File menu, I'm clicking "export" button (with preserve maxe's coords). The object is supposed to be exported. Yeah there's file in the export folder. Now, after importing of my mesh (which I exported a moment ago, to which was applied rotation animation), I see there are no keyframes in the scene. There is no animation! Is the rotation information not exported to the 3ds file? Or maybe there's something wrong with my 3ds max setup? Sometimes it changes it's own setting (you heard me, by itself). I remember that some time ago everything worked as it is supposed to work..... I exported objects, and the import gave to me a complete scene. Could someone help me solve my problem? |

Now I see that If I add new box into the scene and add the rotation effect then rotation is not present in the curve editor (there is no curve for the rotation).
------------- Ok. After changing controler to Euler I can export & import object. Why the linear controler isn't working??? Last edited by renegade : July 6th, 2008 at 03:09 AM. |

to get around this i would just save the object files as max then you can merge the max files together which is under the file menu the other thing i would like to say is that when i export a 3ds object and then import it back it has holes all over it and needs the vertexes welded which is kind of strange to start of with so 3ds format must be crap or somewhat screwed up by autodesk this happens even with a simple primitives like a box good luck my friend... |
