Flickering

Hey, im a new user of 3dsmax 6, and i've bumped into an annoying problem.

whenever i choose a polygon, and its colored red, that red color starts flickering on my screen.

Its the only type of color which flickers..

I guess the problem is with the screen, and not with the program.

But i think i could avoid that problem if only i could change the color which marks the polygons.. i already tried customizing the program colors, but i didnt manage to find the option which changes the polygon color...



What do i do?
