Hi, need some help with a project

hi this is my first post so please be kind to this N00B,

im designing my website and im trying to make a banner and navigation for the site. what im looking for the main banner text, is 3D Gothic text with the following.

all faces covered in a black metal texture on the front face of the text i want there to be an insert with the insert covered with a purple gel like texture.

i hope some one out there can help me to do this thanking you all in advance

do you have a scatch or draft design of the logo do you have
the font you are going to be useing for this handy upload it to
your website ziped and post the link here so we can have a
look at it for you good luck my friend...

yea something like that is what im looking for but i would like the green to be sorta see though,

what format do you want it in and/or background color...

that is sweet man that rocks, i was hopping where the green is to have it in purple and i was thinking a black sky with a rocky landscape

ok I'll give it a go how do you want the dark side placed into the
image? maybe i should send you the max file so you can do the
rest of the project and perhaps improve it the way you want...

what ver of 3ds max are you using and can you also send me the material you used please

the 3ds version is 9 sp2 and i used vray 1.5rc3 for the textures
you can use mental ray renderer...also the glow effects are done in videopost under the render menu
