Urgent Help Required for making a animated vedio in 3ds max6

Hi all,

I have been assigned to make a Advertisement Video Using AutoCad 2004, 3d Studio Max 6 on Enviromental Pollution as my semester project.

well i m a rough programmer. i have interest in graphics and animations etc but i never got a chance to work on these tools.

I have developed a concept: Dream World ... that starts the animated movie on Enviromental Pollution ... I want to show a Beautifull Valley with trees, mountains, waterfalls, lakes (some animals will make the valley more beautifull) ... but basically a hut in the center of valley near a lake. i am allowed to use any stuff from anywhere either its already built ...

i don't know how to start ... can some1 help me out and give me ideas, source files, objects or even links to some usefull sites where i can find good resources for my project.

I suggest for the most difficult part (Rendering realistic landscape) that you learn to use Digital Elevation Models...i hope you know what those are...anyway find a site that is hopefully free unless you have the funds to use, then choose a place on earth that is rendered in DEM that would work for your prject...try New Zealand...have you seen Lord of the rings...fantastic landscape...after that you'll have the basis on which to place everything else...and an extremly relistic one too...you'll probably need to watch or read a few tutorials before it will work for you but i myself am on the brink of DEM utilization.
