Adobe PSF - Covering up (hiding) Text

Hi
Hope someone can hep. I´m actually writing for a colleague of mine who has a problem in PDF she can´t solve.

Taking a file that someone else has created, she wanted to mark certain parts of the text and delete them. As this was not possible, she decided to cover up the offending text passges with a white text box - which all seemed very lovely on the screen, but as soon as you want to print - or the biggest problem of all - send the file onto someone else, you can easily see the changes she has made and remove the "cover-up" text boxes to get to the original text passages.
She has asked around, and various suggestions has been to do with the type of font used in the file, and it not being supported on her pc.
I have no idea - but seeing as I have been helped in the past in this forum, I though I´d throw it into the crowd and see if anyone knows!
We´re using Adobe Professional 6.0 - and it would seem to offer the funtion of marking and deleting text - but it just does not do it!
agrhhh!
Hope someon can help! 8)

Hi

It's me again.

I guess you haven't got a german version again....just kidding.

I don't use Acrobat Professional for creating PDFs. I do that using Photoshop etc. coz it's easy if not efficient. So I don't have any good ideas except this link. Though it's for version 7.0, I hope version 6.0 has the Touchup Text tool. It's a long page, so just go around somewhere down the middle of the page and read the Edit Text section on Touchup Text tool.

Hope it helps.

the problem is the font!

Hi! Thanks for your help - yes, the problem would seem to be the fonts in my case. The original pdf uses different fonts than we have on our pcs (yes aswell - is the german version!!)...so i can´t remove the text.
oh well
