aspect ratio

got a problem with flash streatching bitmaps

problem ...

i am working on tv out ... to a wide screen tv ... how do i set the output to wide screen format not 1:1 pixel ratio?

any help is knowledge gained

If you select the symbol on the stage, then use the transformation tool with SHIFT held down (to keep the original aspect ratio), drag a corner handle out until the symbol is either the same size, or larger, than the stage. Then you can motion tween it to get the symbol zooming toward the screen.

not quit the answer i was after but thanx ...

it is the the way pixels are displayed on a wide screen tv 1:001 ratio to the normal 1:1 ratio on normal monitor screens ... it just distorts all my work and it is a real pain to make everything slim so it straches out again on a wide screen tv ... if you get what i'm after
