Motion Blur doesn't blur anything!

All, I'm looking for help on the following. I'm trying to get a shape (tube, 3D circle or whatever) to "shoot out of a PC monitorscreen". In this scene, half of the object is still "in the monitor" and the rest already "sticks out". AnyWay, I like to apply "motion blur" to this object alone, but for some reason??.....No Luck. I've checked several tutorials, 3DSMaxBible6 and the reference files for 3DSMAX itself. What I do is setting the properties of the object to Object Motion Blur, setting the frame-slider from 0 to 7 (or 10, whatever) and enable motion blur when using Render (F10). But like I said, no luck.

Who can help me?!
ThankX, Already, madtetje

camera

I take it your using the camera settings to set the motion blur right? If not you need to look at the camera settings and down the modify panel is a setting for 'motion blur' and 'depth of field' in the 'multi pass effect' parameter

Hope this helps

dont worry

if you use these all settings you mentioned in your posted massege if its not working

1-reinstal the 3ds max
2-look out the camera setting
3-use blur from render menu envoernement then blur
4-creat object name from proprties then check the blur.

sopit of this if not responding just reinstal the window.
