Ans needed regarding blender

You watch a humanoid charater walking in a computer game and notice that vertices on his thigh not only move with leg but also appeared to be pulled around by the arm as it swings past the leg. What is going on here ? Explain the answer in the light of methods used in animation and how the vertices are moved and how we will fix this problem using blender???
PLz help

Dynamic weighting? This sounds more like a question to be asked of the game engine publishers. If it were simply the case that some of the leg vertices are weighted to the arm, then they would move whenever the arm moves, not just when the arm swings near the leg.
