Smile Textured sphere

Hi How's it going?

I'm trying to create a graphic of a globe rotating. The effect I'm trying to achieve is one where the continents look like metal, wrapped around a glassy sphere, but I want to be able to animate this.

I've tried to make a flat map and then wrap it round the sphere but it hides the glassy blue of the oceans.

I tried importing it as terrain but I can't seem to wrap that round the sphere.

Any thoughts?
