How to Disable Error reporting??
Hi All,
I have just been made in charge of editing a website someone else developed using Coldfusion(CF) and Dreamweaver (DW). Since this is first time using either both CF and DW, I am encountering one major problem: I want to disable error reporting on the web. That is, I do not want users to see what and where the error originated. Currently, I am getting the following error which is up on a live website for everyone to see. I tried logging into the CF admin site and changing the debug settings but that does not work. Error Occurred While Processing Request Error Executing Database Query. Invalid object name <object name>. Resources: * Enable Robust Exception Information to provide greater detail about the source of errors. In the Administrator, click Debugging & Logging > Debugging Settings, and select the Robust Exception Information option. * Check the ColdFusion documentation to verify that you are using the correct syntax. * Search the Knowledge Base to find a solution to your problem. Browser Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Remote Address XXX.XXX.XX.XX Referrer http://----------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- Also, if anyone can help me with getting rid of the error altogether or at least tell me the cause of it, that would really be great. I am not sure if this a CF forum question or a Dreamweaver one. Like i said, i am a newbie to all this. Hence, please excuse if i sound really dumb about it. Thanks!! |
