Drop-Down Hell

Ok I am not a web programmer so be gentle with me.

I recently took the existing code from a website homepage and dropped it into Dreamweaver to create a hot spot at the top to be used for a link to another page. Everything works great... except that now when you open up the homepage one of the drop-down menus is already extended and doesn't retract until you rollover it, then the page works normally.
