Easy quick question on cs5.5 - storing code for repeated use?

Hi guys. I'm sick of having to constantly go in and change my navigation for new or edited pages I've added to my site.

Is there a way to put a piece of code in each web page that references a single code. So when I update the single code, it automatically updates all my other web pages that reference it?
