Question New site with pixel jog and positioning issues

Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and desperate for some help!

I've got various issues with my recent site all of which I think are connected and may have something to do with 'left float' divs. What I have to correct are the following issues:

1. I'd like the whole page to sit flush with the top of the browser (an issue which occurred when I added the clock)
2. I seem to have '3 pixel jog' in firefox where the link text in the sidebar jumps slightly when clicked
3. All images should sit flush to the bottom of the nav bar which they do in firefox but not in IE

Another unrelated issue which is driving me crazy is that the links to the contact pages aren't working because they seem to be stuck in a past position when I had all the contact pages in a folder called 'contact us' I've since moved the files outside the folder using dreamweaver and updated all the links countless times, refreshed, uploaded and even deleted the offending files on the server and re-uploaded them but still when you click on contact you get a 404 and the url says /contact us/emailus.html and when you manually alter the url to /emailus.html it works fine. My last resort is to take the whole site down and upload again to see if it clears the problem, but I'd rather not do that.

If anyone has any ideas then I'm all ears!
(Please let me know if I'm allowed to give the site address for people to have a look at the issues involved)

Thanks very much indeed

The banner sits here and throws up a 'three pixel text jog error':

<div id="clockbox"></div></div><img src="/chimages/chlogo.jpg" alt="CHC logo" name="logo" width="700" height="137" class="twoColLiqLtHdr" id="logo" />
<div class="fltlft" id="42"><img src="/chimages/menubar_01.gif" width="199" height="31" /></div>

update to this post:
I fixed the links problem by 'putting' all the pages again...I didn't realise that making changes to the template and choosing update all related pages meant you had to then put them all too. you live n learn!
