Tables Spacing Too Far Apart, Really Need Help

For me, the page is looking normal in IE, the quoted text is right underneath the top left paragraph and the text to the right is just underneath the image to the top right. In Firefox, Opera, and Mozilla though, the text is spaced way apart making a big gap.

I encounter this problem alot in DW, I really need help knowing what causes it and how I can avoid it. What is it that makes the page put something I wanted in spot x all the way in spot y? It's driving me crazy, thanks for any help!
