Fireworks Macros

I have recently come to realize that fireworks has the ability to create macros like some other programs but I have been unable to determine how i would do so. I mainly have one need at the moment to test the abilities of the program. My company receives photos daily for projects we do with another company. We have to upload these photos onto our server so that the company we do business with can view them. All of these photos must be edited to be 640 x 480 although when we receive them they are a varying range of sizes. What i would like to do is create a macro that would do the following:

If i have a picture that is 720 x 620 for example i would want to automatically have the photos image size changed to 640 x 480 and the extra area of the canvas after the resize filled in with black.

Now I am almost positive that this is possible I just do not know where to start. My company uses Macromedia Fireworks MX. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know much about Fireworks Macros myself but while surfing found a very, very good link. It's recording of some sort of a workshop on Fireworks and the last topic is Batch processing which is what can help you. It is more than an hour long so make your wish carefully : .

Here is the link
