How do I change a photo bmp to JPEG, jpg or jpe. I'm using adobe photoshop 4.0

It's either in your "Save As.." option.. or if it's not there then try the "Export" option in the File menu..

When saving your image type in the name you want to give your image and look at the box underneath. Click on the drop-down menu and then select the image format you want.

I suggest you use .PNG instead of .JPEG.

.PNG usually reduces random pixels (noise) created while saving. The image quality is far better in lots more ways too.

You may be able to just try changing the file extension. Make a copy of the file so you don't screw up the one you've got (right click, and choose "Copy" and the right click on the desktop and choose "Paste"), and then click on the title of the picture. It should show up as picture_name.bmp right now, and you can just type in picture_name.jpg. That MAY work. If not, open it in Paint and save as a .jpg, but you may lose some resolution that way.
