play?

im new at flash i have flash mx i want to make a play button on frame actions i put stop() but i made a button that says goto and play frame(3) but it doesnt work plz help

Put the buttn on

hello. You simply forgot to put the button on. Your action script is supposed to looke like this:
on (press) {gotoAndPlay("Scene 1", 3);

}
