Sound related issue

Hello guys!!! I'm new here ^^
I need help with my project (its due tomorrow so i need to finish!!!)
Well i have an audio sountrack that iw ant to play in my background, however there are a lot of stops in the video. The audio is also affecte dby the stop and unless the video starts playing again the audio wont run smoothly.

Is there a way to make the audio just don't do the stops and play in the bakcground all the time?

Simply create a new layer and stick the audio file in that layer, itll play continuously.
