Wondering how to flip a symetrical image.

Hi all, I am drawing an image which is symetrical on both sides and wish to draw one side then somehow anchor? and flip to produce an image which is perfectly the same on both sides. (ie. a heart). It's a crest and is too difficult to make each side exactly the same. I can flip but not the rest. Thanks for any help! T.
