What Is The MOST STABLE New Version Of GIMP?
I'm looking for the newest version of GIMP, but I don't want headaches, bugs, or instability in the program.

Can anyone advise me? I'm also open to receiving tips that would assist me in using the newer version to it's fullest. (My current version had no Help Files included with it, so if there are any "tricks" that I should know about, please let me know)

I recommend downloading the newest version 2.4 which can be downloaded at http://www.gimp.org/downloads/, then download the 2.4.5 patch at ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/v2.4/. Then for some basic helps and tips go to http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/ and gimptalk.com. Search gimptalk for some basic tutorials which will help you greatly, I hope I have been some help to you, sorry I could not find your file...
