Question I want to create a template, where to start??

Hello there!
I'm new on this website, and new on HTML too...
I sell things on ebay, and i list my auctions using auctiva templates... But now i want to start making my own tamplates, with my patterns and all that, but I'm not sure where to start??

I don't know about html, but I really want to learn this, I love all about graphic design, I know how to use Photoshop... a friend of mine told me that I can create my template on Photoshop and then "cut it" on dreamweaver , I already have that program, but I don't know how to use it, I don't know where to start ...

Please if anybody can help me

should i spend $12.99 on a ebay template instructions ....???

I will really appreciate any help!
Thanks

Let me start with;

I urge you not to buy a $12.99 tutorial pack. Especially since HTML tutorials are found all over the web for free.

Also, welcome to the forums.

You mentioned you owned Dreamweaver. That's good, because Dreamweaver is a What-you-see-is-what-you-get editor, as well as having a good code view editor. I'd recommend using the help file in Dreamweaver to help you get started, as there are very good tutorials there, which will teach you the basics of making a good web page. Then, once you're acquainted with basic HTML, you can move onto more complex tutorials that you can find on the web.

I hope this helps you out.

this topic has been inactive since 2007, lol. you would first need to create a webpage layout (A template) and then code it using HTML so the internet can understand what it needs to display and how to display it. if you need help with this there is plenty of tutorials on the main website about this, hope this helps and goodluck.

Thumbs up How to create tamplate

I would like to tell a simple way of creating template that is fist of all you should download a free template then should try to create it in Dreamweaver because it supports HTML, CSS, and images which are necessary for your template creation and you can choose the video tutorial for more creating it in a exact manner. Thus you can make it easily.
