Lightbulb Subdomain path for accessing images

Not quite sure which forum these questions fit into, so apologies if this is the wrong one. Blessings to every one here.

I am uncertain about how subdomains work when it comes to paths to images. A layman level explanation on this will be appreciable. My hosting is with GoDaddy on Linux server. So I am not able to figure out whether its a coding level tweaking which I need to do at my end or a server side tweaking.

Requesting inputs.
