you want to do it in javascript?? I would suggest doing most of it in php and use javascript to make advance pages.
it's somewhat simple. you have to have a database like mysql. You then use php to update the database and with javascript you can make advance pages. read the doc on the php website to learn more aobut php you can look up mysql commands ect. but just to warn you if you were to make an advance board fourm it takes alot of time. So before doing it you should make sure you have lots of time to spend.
