Hi,
I'd like to make some metal/chrome things in 3ds Max, but it seems very difficult! I can get the materials right, but it just doesn't seem as in the tutorials. I think i'm missing the right background or environment. Like in tutorial: http://www.max-realms.com/modules/t.../chrome_tut.php Where the hell does the image to the metallic balls come from?! It can't be the environment map... I just don't GET IT! I think this has something to do with the HDRI but I can't find ANY good tutorials to help. Below is link to my chrome ball done with the tutorial. It just doesn't look the same http://img225.imageshack.us/my.php?image=testpm7.jpg
