Hi again there guys, i need help with "lathe" too...
Im doing a tutorial that says i should do lather on som lines. First of all i draw lines that look like this(step nr1): http://www.tutorialized.com/tutoria...ight-bulb/21234 And then it says, use lathe and it should look like the pic on step number 4 But i get my like this: [IMG]C:\Documents and Settings\John Westin\Skrivbord\lampa.JPG[/IMG] HELP PLZ!!!! |

try hosting your pic on photobucket.com so we can see whee your going wrong ...
as i cannot seet it a common problem is that the lathe gizmo is not in the middle or you have done the line in the wrong viewport ... line should rearly be done in the front viewport and the lathe gizmo can be adjusted with the move tool the start and end should be above one another so when lathed it will make a complete shape / blub in this case if there is a gap or over flow then just open late use the + and select the gizmo and move it left or right to get the center lined up right hope it helps Drew |

hi bro ...
yep in your modifyer pannel where you have the lathe selected in your pic ... hit the little + sign and this will show the gizmo ... highlight that and with the move tool just move it left or right and see what happens ... then put it where it looks best for the model you are makeing. hope it helps Drew |

yea about that .. try the "x" key like Azizs mentioned but not able to just dissable the move tool myself so reinstall would help .. if not contact Autodesk support with your ID they will tell you how to fix it .. lol

I get that when I use lathe, I always correct it by clicking the max button under align
