Logs not getting captured on my linux machine
/var/log secure logs are not getting captured on my linux machine, here are the settings of /etc/syslog.conf file.
# Log all kernel messages to the console.
# Logging much else clutters up the screen.
# Log anything (except mail) of level info or higher.
# Don't log private authentication messages!
# The authpriv file has restricted access.
# Log all the mail messages in one place.
# Log cron stuff
# Everybody gets emergency messages
# Save news errors of level crit and higher in a special file.
# Save boot messages also to boot.log
/var/log/secure has following permission:
-rw------- 1 root root 0 Nov 2 04:02 /var/log/secure
So how to resolve this problem, as I need these logs for troubleshooting.
