Rendering a UV mapped object
Hello,
After using Maya for about 2 or 3 years, I finally learned how to use UV mapping and have managed to use it on an object successfully. However when I try to render it using Final Gather in Mental Ray, I keep getting this error message:
GAPP 0.4 warn 092050: skipped polygon
GAPP 0.4 warn 092038: triangulation failed for polygon # 0 with 3608 vertices from object group8|pasted__polySurface1|pasted__polySurfaceSha pe1
GAPP 0.4 warn 092050: skipped polygon
GAPP 0.4 warn 092038: triangulation failed for polygon # 1 with 3608 vertices from object group8|pasted__polySurface1|pasted__polySurfaceSha pe1
If I render the object using Maya software instead, no error message whatsoever appears.
My proficiency in Maya is probably at intermediate level, and I have no idea why this problem should occur. I am hoping that someone will please help me out on this one as soon as possible as my project deadline is already around the corner.
