Unwanted whitelines around object?

Hello. I'm very new to maya, so please excuse me if this will be a very simple question (i'm not even sure if it is).

So I was trying to learn adding Ambient Occlusion to a simple geo that I made. Here's how I did it:

1. I made a new render layer with my object in it.
2. I set the layer into the preset "occlusion"
3. I set the layer to multiply
4. I render just the occlusion layer and it looks fine.
5. I render both layers.

Initially it will render the masterlayer and the white seam-like lines still arent there, but when it adds the occlusion layer to it, the final render comes out with the object having these white lines around it.

Can anyone help me? Thank you in advance
