Tbl Text Field Formating > Property-Does It Affect Other Objects Based On The Table

Re Access 2003

I have looked throughout the forum but have been unable to find a clear explanation / solution.

When formatting the text box property of a table, using the greater than symbol (>) to force upper case text, does this only affect the the table formatting or should it pass on to other objects (it doesn't seem to) ?

I've created forms, queries and reports but the formatting does not seem to transfer to these other database objects.

I have tried formatting the other forms, queries and reports individually but have been unable to find any consistent reliable method of formatting from object to object, it seems like a lot of duplicate formatting.

Can anyone explain the logical way to reason out consistent formatting from object to object ( Tables, Queries, Forms , Reports etc) ?

Thanks
