Getting that first Oracle DBA job.
Getting that first DBA job is rough; the problem is that nobody wants to hire an inexperienced DBA. It is a paradox almost, you can't get a job without experience yet you can get experience without the job. Taking the certification tests and studying the books is one thing, actual field work is an altogether separate issue.
