Layer Problems with Jasc paintshop pro 7

Yeah this is bothering me for quiet awhile now, I've searched everywhere for this problem but it does not seem to be a big problem I guess.
Well its a problem with the seperate layer box that can be moved around, well whenever I move my mouse over a layer to look at the little picture that pops up, well the little picture that is suppose to pop up just turns white and then everything stops working not the whole computer, but when I do click another button anything at the top it tells me its (Not Responding) I can exit the program the End Now and cancel box comes up also when I exit out I just want this problem gone.

Windows Vista or XP? If it's Vista, most likely some sort of compatabilty issue. Try compatabilty (WINXP) If you're using Vista.
