Need Help Making American Express "My life. My card." Layout
Hi, Guys!
I have to do a project using Photoshop (I have Photoshop CS3), but I don't know how to use it. I would do it on my basic Microsoft Picture It! software, but the project requires me to show all the layers. This is why I downloaded Photoshop, and am here asking for help. I would forever be gracious if you guys could lend me a hand and your expertise. =)
Firstly, I need to make an 8x10 layout that looks like one of those "My life. My card." American Express ads. Basically, I need to put an image on the top center, then text on the rest of the page (just like those ads). The tricky part for me (oh heck, every part is tricky for me) is putting a new layer of text above the dotted lines. I would post an image/example I've made using Paint to show you guys what I'm talking about, but apparently, newbies aren't allowed to post links.
Secondly, I need to make another 8x10 layout and insert 6 images to cover the entire canvas. There should be two rows with three images in each. I know this sounds very simple and easy to you guys, but having never touched Photoshop myself, it's like rocket science to me. I've also made an example for this.
Basically, I need help on how to open a blank canvas to inserting photos to resizing photos to making new layers of text. I would greatly appreciate any kind of help you guys could offer me as long as it's relevant to what I'm looking for. BTW, if you want to see the examples I've made, please do PM me and I'll send you the links (that is if they even allow links in messages).
Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance!!
