Paint shop Pro 9 help please, Browse has stopped working

Can anyone advise please? I have been using Paintshop pro 9 for quite a while now but suddenly yesterday it would not browse files from the desktop although if I open a folder in MY Pictures it will show all the thumbnails. I usually save photos to the desktop if going to work on them, and then browse from FILE/BROWSE within PSP - but it has stopped working and I get this message."Paint shop Pro has stopped working. A problem casued the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I have done a system restore, emptied temp files, an uninstall and clean install but it is still giving the same error message.Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thought i would let you all know just in case it happens to anyone else- I have sorted this out. I found out after all that - it did not like a PDF file on my desktop. After I removed that it started working again.
