Transparent background

Exclamation Transparent background
Hi!

When i make pictures that shall have transparent backgrounds and save the pictures in .gif, the background turns white... and when i do the same thing and saves it in .png, the background turns black..

Why does it do that? Is there any settings or so that i have to adjust?
Please help me.. cause it's sooo annoying that i can't make transparent backgrounds..

Hiya. I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct on this matter, but I believe that GIF only supports 256 colours. Again, I'm not sure but used JPG may help. Wish I knew more.
