Hello there,

I am fairly new to photoshop and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to do an animated image?

Cheers,

Window>>animate. From here you need to work with layers and with frames to create an animation. A good time frame is .1 second per frame. It is easiest to start with 1 layer per frame.

To make images animated in Photoshop, follow below steps :

Step 1: Upload your images to Photoshop.
Step 2: Open up the Timeline window.
Step 3: In the Timeline window, click "Create Frame Animation."
Step 4: Create a new layer for each new frame.
Step 5: Open the same menu icon on the right, and choose "Make Frames From Layers."
Step 6: Under each frame, select how long it should appear for before switching to the next frame.
Step 7: At the bottom of the toolbar, select how many times you'd like it to loop.
Step 8: Preview your GIF by pressing the play icon.
Step 9: Save your GIF to use online.

you can also refer below site for that.

See this Animated GIF's from Images..

This is easy to make.. I've done it by Photoshop and my procedure was like that..

Go to Timeline>Choose Create Video Timeline > Now you need to know about key-frame here in this timeline.

Here I've drawn two objects, first with different layer. [Yellow and Red] than convert them to smart objects.

Now I've done some key-frame like below.

first key-frame for Transforming it to Down. Next for Transforming it to Up.
