Photoshop freezing or running too slow

Hello my friends. Please help me. After using Pjhotoshop for about 30 minutes, it freezes or becomes extremely slow. It also blocks the computer. After some time, about 10 minutes, it returns to normal. Or sometimes I have to reboot the PC. My equipment is Windows 7 64 bits, 4G ram, Intercore I 3, This situation appeared about two weeks ago. No problem ever since I got the software way back in 2014. The PC is clean, passing AntiMalwarebytes and Avast antivirus. When Photoshop is closed, the PC runs fine. Your help is appreciated.

Greetings Edubarca,

Try turning off AntiMalwarebytes and see what that does.

I use Windows Vista and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware doesn't seem to be compatible. Your Windows 7 is similar to Vista.

FWIW: I only use MBAM when I'm on-line because it seems to block some bad stuff but it also slows my machine.

I don't load it with Windows at start-up either. I just enable it before I go on-line and disable it when I go off-line.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply.

My Antimalwarebytes is the free version. It means it only works when I start a scan. Or is it working all the time? I start a scan usually at the end of the day when I'm finished.

Your help is appreciated very much.

If you have it set to load with Windows... then it's running in the background... all the time.

Edit: To clarify a little... if the MBAM program installs with Windows, during start-up, it runs in the background all the time. It is not scanning all the time.
