Help

I need to start producing dynamic websites. I know XHTML and CSS. I also own CS3 Web Premium and need to know whether I should learn PHP or ColdFusion. Which is best, easiest to learn and use and what is the fastest way to learn it (big and small picture). I have the developer version of CF 8. Will I need to spend any more money to work with it? Thanks so much for your answers.

Ive tried coldfusion before, I did like it. However I would still say PHP (I am a PHP developer) and I always seem to find more tutorials on php than CF, I can never seem to figure things out in CF whereas in php its more than likely that somebodies already done it.

The way I learnt, was taking other scripts like big forums scripts or something complex, and figuring out step by step what its doing, you dont have to start with a dead complex script, but take a look at some open source software that maybe has some features that you'd like in your script and see how they work. Dont know if my ramblins help, but if so then glad i could help lol

Totally definately 100% php. Try getting someone to host coldfusion and see them empty your pockets through nil competition. I had a site with coldfusion. There were hardly any hosts, and those that did charged like wounded bulls. We were also looking for Verified by Visa support, and that basically reduced our options to 1 host. There were dozens if we had our software in PHP.

Thanks. The more I look into it, the more I want to go with PHP.
Best regards
