PHP Development Tools

I did a search in this forum for the above title and it didn't return any results, so if there is already a thread on this subject I apologize, please point me to the correct thread...

My question is this: I am new to PHP Development, previously being a .Net programmer, I am switching from MS to Open Source such as PHP and would like to know of any good (hopefully free) development tools like Visual Studios but for PHP. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any suggestions on the best, least expensive tools to write HTML, CSS JavaScript and PHP code that will show me errors in my line endings, allow me to easily edit code, basically function like VS does but for PHP?

I suggest you to go for Dreamweaver.

You could also try WebMatrix. It is a tool not only for .NET development but for writing a pure PHP web application. By the way if you are interested I am planning to add SMS functionality to my PHP website. Found an exmaple (you can find it if you Google on: ozekisms/page204) that describes this process. Hope you will find my information useful.
