Help with Still Image in Adobe Premiere

Hi,

i'm interested in making a MMA HL video, i'm using Adobe Premiere 7.0.

I'm stuck at the first hurdle and the manuals are like another language.

To start this video i want to use a still image. Zoomed into a certain area of the image then zoom out to the full frame... in the space of about 6 seconds.

can someone give me a brief step by step.

p.s - i would also like to create an animation of my name and the title of the video, how do i best create this?

many thanks for any help

basic animation

drag the image into the timeline, then drag the end to make it 6 seconds long. Then, in the 'effect controls' window, open the 'motion' menu, make sure the timline marker is on the first frame and click the 'toggle animation' button next to 'scale' and 'motion'. adjust these settings to zoom into the area tou want, then go to the last frame of the image and adjust the settings back to the default, making sure keyframes are still turned on. when you play this, you should have an animation that zooms out from the area you chose to the full frame.

hope this helps, shwhjw
