Don't Download one like phpBB and edit it. If you REALLY want one to call your own, I'll send you phpBB 2.12 (which is inacquirable by normal people) ... and you can work on completing it.

If you want phpBB 2.0.10 (which is what every one else uses) ... go to www.phpbb.com and download (like said above)

If you want phpBB 2.2.12 (which only inside developers can get) ... ask me and I'll see if we still have it on the root32 server (we did start working on it, but gave up) ... it WILL require alot of work and isn't stable. If you want to develop it you'll need to know PHP and HTML... also knowledge of (my)SQL would be useful.

PHP or HTML?? Which one to prefer for best performance??

I have little knowledge on both the technologies, but which one to prefer in order to develop a forum website?
