Is it possible to create a DW Template that can.....
..do the following:
Ok.. this is the scenario. I would like to design a template in DreamWeaver MX that only has certain areas other people can modify - the majority of it would be locked. For instance: I have a generic course, that I want to give to other people in my office. If they want to add a question, or a picture, they should have the ability to change if needed, but not lose the overall design.. does this make sense? Could someone point me in the right direction?? Thanks!! Alyson |

I try not to use templates very much but if I understand what you're asking - yes, others can edit the "page" with your template in it as long as you assign "editable regions". And of course, they'd have to edit in within Dreamweaver. Try it yourself, you'll see what I mean. They will be able to *see* the design around the editable regions and they can add their own content, but they won't be able to edit the actual template without opening your original template file.
Hope this helps, if not email me, and I'll try to help some more. URL -Suzy |
