Rebuilding the Layout
One of my duties at my job is to keep our sites running at peek efficiency. One of them is http://advertisementworld.com/ which from a coders stand poitn is a ugly beast littered with a million so od add and no real way to track them.
Anyway my thoughts are to take the advertisements and story their html code in a SQL database something like Add ID Company name HTML Code Type (Affiliate ie linkshare, payed advertiser, free demo space, etc) Listing Catagory but im not sure how i would go about seting up a the sub sections of each catagory to display all relevent ads is a apealing format.... ie one 60x120 baner looks best on the side, 4 would look best under the normal add side by side. so thats why i come here to get suggestion on how to design the pay out code? fyi heres the banner sizes • 120 x 600 (Width x Height) Tower • 125 x 125 Box • 468 x 60 Banner • 650 x 225 Banner • Blurb (ie about a paragraph of text and a image boxed) • Full Page • Text Link
