Shared hosting is good enough when you start out. I would just make sure the webhost you choose makes it easy to upgrade when you need to.

Cloud VS Shared

Shared hosting is shared, where multiple users share one server. This means your website will share the same server resources as all other websites on the server such as CPU, Memory, disk space, bandwidth etc.
On the other hand, Cloud hosting is the dedicated environment where you can get dedicated IP. If one website overloads the server, all users will suffer from low speed, limited disk space, memory issues, and/or downtime.

Cloud hosting and Shared Hosting

Cloud hosting means you can host your data on the cloud-based server. It provides a flexibility to operate your business and access your data, you can access your file anywhere, anytime and from any device and on cloud hosting there is 99.9% uptime guarantee.

A shared server is a server where you can share your server with other clients.

Cloud hosting is much beneficial as it is more robust and scalable. Shared hosting has more cons than pros.

The term Cloud is usually used to describe an isolated computer instance, a whole virtual server. It also refers to the underlying infrastructure used by any company to provide web hosting services.

So, you do not compare it to Shared Hosting, which is basically virtual hosting account created in a Shared physical or virtual server.
