Adjustment of cursor accuracy required

Hello,

Is there a way to alter the accuracy required for moving a partitioning line, the dividing line between two cells? There is one of these movable partition lines in my mail programme, and the annoyance of trying to place the cursor precisely on that line, in order for the double-headed arrow to appear, is great.

Thanks if there are any tips for this.

If you go to Control Panel, you'll see a Mouse icon, click that and you'll get into your Mouse pointer settings.

Click the pointer options tab and you'll see a speed setting, you can adjust this to increase accuracy.

Also, below the speed setting, you'll see a checkbox "enhance pointer precision", check that and apply your changes.

Hope this helps

Thanks Squibbit,

Sadly your advice hasn't helped at all. I actually am hoping for a reduced accuracy requirement. If I could find a setting for double-headed arrow appearance accuracy required, I would reduce this setting. In other words I would prefer the double-headed arrow to appear over a more general (i.e. larger) area. If this were so I wouldn't have to be so painstakingly careful to get the cursor in just the right position for the double-headed arrow to appear. Honestly sometimes the procedure can take me 10 seconds. This required accuracy for the double-headed arrow is a user interface oversight.

Unfortunately I don't think there's such a setting. Maybe the type of mouse you use is the issue.

I use a standard optical mouse, if you're using a ball mouse, sometimes precision isn't all that great.
